Melbourne User Group Meeting

It is great to see the Melbourne User Group (http://www.muvclub.asn.au/) resumed their meeting after a year long break. Thanks also to New Horizon who provided a nice venue for the meeting. David Turk showed me a site http://www.msdewey.com/ which is quite interesting. It is a search engine site (powered by MS Live Search) dressed up in a Flash environment. Quite fun. Try it out.

I also demo-ed Adobe Captivate and showed how we can repurpose the learning content created for display on mobile devices. Currently Captivate doesn’t output FlashLite. So the workflow is to export the Captivate content into fla and from within Flash 8 to publish it as a FlashLite content. Of course once inside Flash, we can also add AS2 functionalities into the content too. I hope future version of Captivate would enable publishing of mobile content directly. That would make the whole process lots easier.
