Open Screen Project to drive Flash ubiquity across devices

The announcement today by Adobe and its partners is significant. It includes pretty much all the big name players in consumer electronics and mobile phones. And the terms and licenses of the embeding the flash player in devices have undergone big changes. In particular there is no license fee now for flash player for devices. And the goal indeed is to have a common runtime across platforms and devices so that flash content that is designed for the desktop can also be played across devices 🙂 If you have been developing java applications for devices and haven’t got into flash yet, now is the time to take a look at flash and see what it is capable of.
