Adobe Flash Media Encoding Server

Having tested the Flash Media Encoding Server recently, I have to say I like it very much. For those who don’t know what is FMES, you can check this out at:

http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaencoding/

Essentially, it is a server app for background encoding of video to flv, f4v or mp4 videos. Why I like it is because:

1. The watch folder feature actually works

2. It can output poster frame (jpg) simultaneously

3. It can be clustered as Master-Slave for distributed transcoding

Finally we have a flash video encoding server software that I can recommend to our customers 🙂
